HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS)

This course has been developed to be presented specifically to high school students and individuals 15 years and over. Students will not only learn basic first aid skills but presentations and content is tailored to the topics most relevant to issues associated with teenagers today. The HLTAID003 Provide First Aid course will give students the skills and knowledge required to provide a First Aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace, school, function or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. In addition, this course will include a presentation from the Police on safe living, driving & partying, as well as a component presented on Drugs – the Good, the Bad & The Ugly – and the effects on your life (non accredited component)
It is recommended that skills be updated every 3 years and CPR annually.

There are no prerequisites for this Apply First Aid Course. All students must be over the age of 14 years.
