A Message from Our Chair
Welcome to the Michael Hughes Foundation (MHF) website!
You’ll see that our url is simply www.mhf.life, reminding us, and everyone who visits our site, about the importance of our mission - turning bystanders into first responders, to save lives in cases of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
We live out our mission by raising community awareness about SCA; working with local, state and federal governments to increase the number of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in the community; and presenting training and information sessions on CPR and use of automatic external defibrillators or AEDs.
We are working hard to replicate the HeartSafe Communities model, which is so successful in the United States. Since establishment, we have raised sufficient funds to install more than 200 defibrillators and train over 1300 community members in CPR and the applications of AEDs.
Thank you for visiting our site. Please explore the information about us and about SCA, CPR and AEDs. Together we can continue to make a positive contribution to increasing the survival rate of SCA, giving life back to families and the community.
